1 Rule For Decision Making-Don’t Do Nothing
Make a choice, don’t just wait around
I have always found it unsettling if I knew people were waiting on me. I have trained myself to be on time at the least. I prefer to be early to events, gatherings and jobs.
I value my time but more so I value other people’s time. So if I find myself in a situation where someone is waiting on me, I get a little stressed.
This pressure to be respectful is instrumental in my decision making.
I’ve been scheduling and reverse engineering travel and distance for years. So if I’m told that I’m to be expected at a certain time my internal GPS starts to immediately build the route in my head. This works all fine and dandy for those situations that are cut and dry but it is not that easy with life decisions.
A Reoccurring Observation
I have started to take issue with a condition I see in younger people. It is not entirely their fault and it is completely understandable. They are often thrust into a world that their upbringing wasn’t exactly preparing them for and rather than just make a choice, they sit and wait for the optimal conditions or worse yet, for someone to choose for them. They need to be made to understand that if they do not make a choice, then someone else…
