Mismatched people leave permanent damage
Any mechanic out there has “the drawer” in their toolbox. This special section of their arsenal is loaded with random bits of hardware that they decided would be “useful” someday.
It is generally loaded with light bulbs, tape, zip-ties, nuts, bolts, and other random flavored assortments of goodies. We keep them around because there is always that desire to be the guy who “saves the day”.
When the moment arises, we can gleefully say, “oh wait, I have one!”. Then we mount our white steed and gallop to retrieve the part of destiny — certain to be written about for generations to come. Actually it tends to be more of a meander followed by 15 minutes of shuffling through a disorganized bulk of random junk.
Oh, but when we have exactly what is needed… Ring all the church bells, strike up the band!
