I enjoy reading these types of articles. They give me the perspective I need. I one day will be an expat and i want to know what types of intangible situations i will come upon.

My biggest concerns are:

-Humor, due to common frames of reference.

-How to answer "why are you here?"

-Immigrant treatment

-Language and/or accent difficulties

-Just simple everyday interactions where immersion is the only solution

Minor inconveniences in the grand scheme of things.
