I think that people often overestimate the sacrifices. Instead of an all out starvation and homelessness risk, many people will only truly risk some inconveniences. They'll have to cancel the premium subscriptions or "downgrade" a car or place to live. Yet they'll still have transportation, resources and a place to live but, be more free to persue ideas.
