I've been in the service world for years and can tell you this. People don't care for prevention. They can't see the inherent value in keeping this operating. They say this with their budgets. They can't justify the need for full time maintenance staff, but will not bat an eye when there is a major repair needed. Instead of basic upkeep, they'd rather allow a crisis to occur then get it fixed and come out as a hero. There is no glory in maintenance--only in rescue.
