I've had a few blogging sites of different formats and I can say that you have to wear all the hats. You have to be the writer, the IT person, the digital marketer, the landing page builder, the Email marketing savant, the SEO expert, the ad creator and distributor, etc...

Medium is a place where all the background stuff gets done and all you have to do is focus on your work.

It's quite nice to be free of the other burdens and expenses.
