As the year comes along into it’s autumn, we all enjoy those images of the leaves changing color. This imagery provokes joyous anticipation of curling up in a blanket and sipping hot beverages. We see it as a farewell to summer — plus Halloween is coming…

That salutation to the summer is often combined with a middle finger to that beastly season. Oppressive temperatures combined with allergens cause many to despise those months and to welcome the cooler Fall with wide open arms.

That welcome is bitter sweet. For as the leaves fall, so do the temperatures — and with that decent of the mercury, come the expenses of your home heating bills and trying to stay comfortable without reaching bankruptcy.

How I can help

As a commercial handyman, I did a lot of work in helping customers stay comfortable through the colder months. One thing I have become a huge proponent of is maintaining your home’s “envelope”.

This “envelope” is the air sealed in your home.
