They say "youth is wasted on the young". I can understand the value of trying to steer kids to pursue their dreams when you have lost the opportunity to fulfill your own. It is often too late that we realize the "what might have beens". The best course from that point, in an attempt to help those young lost souls, is to bestow upon them the wisdom and encouragement that we didn't have available--to let them know that their dreams have value and are not silly.
