You Are Your Only Hope

It’s time to be your own hero

It happens too often that people fail to act because they are awaiting the arrival of a hero. As though the sudden appearance of a shadowing or brave figure is their only hope.

That heroic arrival is the core message of all comic book movies. Let’s face it, they are quite entertaining.

If you think about any movie or story, the best part is generally the climax. This is the long awaited moment in when the main character finally comes into themselves and their hidden talent, gift, or skill finally is realized.

Unlike real life, the movies are generous and provide an epic score/soundtrack to be associated with that moment.

I recently wrote that we need to be ready to save our selves.

Real life is not about waiting for that one moment to reveal to the world how special you are or to show this great thing you can do. It is a collection of small moments that those around you witness.

That is how your character is developed. Bring forth who you are slowly and consistently. These small revelations will let your audience know who and what you are. It is your story, so why not write it so that you are the hero.
